Henshin
Jakarta
At a glance
Henshin brings Nikkei dining to the upper floors of The Westin Jakarta, combining Japanese culinary precision with the bold flavours and traditions of Peru. The cuisine reflects the history of Japanese and Peruvian cultural exchange, using Japanese techniques alongside Peruvian ingredients and flavour profiles.
The restaurant occupies Level 68, where an open kitchen gives the dining room a view of the chefs at work. The setting is polished and contemporary, with a lively visual identity shaped by bold colours and dynamic graphic details. The atmosphere suits occasions that call for a considered meal in a high-rise setting, from business dinners to celebrations and evening dining.
Henshin also extends into a bar and social space across Level 67. The Lounge & Bar and Rooftop Bar serve handcrafted cocktails, while Wayra provides a semi-outdoor setting above the city. Broad skyline views frame the experience, giving the venue a clear connection to Jakarta’s urban landscape without separating the food from the evening atmosphere.
For more private occasions, Henshin offers the Inca private function rooms on Level 68, along with the Cusco and Lima private dining spaces on Level 69. These rooms are designed for intimate meals, business gatherings, celebrations and other private events. The different levels allow Henshin to work as a restaurant, cocktail destination and event venue within the same high-rise setting.
Henshin suits diners interested in contemporary Nikkei cuisine, rooftop cocktails and dining with a skyline backdrop. Chef Akira Oshita’s international experience informs the menu, while the open-kitchen format adds a sense of movement to the restaurant. Reservations are available for the restaurant, bar and private-event experiences, with the best choice of setting depending on the occasion and group size.
