Description
Paragliding is a free-flying sport that uses fabric wings launched by foot, relying solely on wind currents without any motorized equipment. The sport is regulated by the Indonesian Hang Gliding Association (Plgi) under the Indonesian Aero Sport Federation (Fsi).
Flights take off from hillsides or mountains using two types of lifting wind: dynamic lift hitting slopes and thermal lift from rising warm air. These winds enable pilots to fly to great heights and cover long distances. The paragliding site is located in Puncak, a highland area in Bogor, situated between Sukabumi and Cianjur.
The tea plantations below provide a notable green landscape visible during the flight. While this activity requires some courage, experienced guides support participants through the entire experience.
