Description
The 'Golden Jakarta' tour features two main attractions: the National Monument and the Miniature Park Indonesia. The National Monument (Monas), a 433-foot tall memorial in Jakarta’s city garden, was built starting in 1961 during the Soekarno era and opened to the public in 1975. The monument’s design represents the 'Lingga and Yoni' concept symbolizing infinity, constructed with Italian marble and topped with 50 kilograms of gold plating. Inside, reliefs depict Indonesia’s history from early times to modern politics.
The tour continues at the Miniature Park, an educational cultural park covering 100 hectares in East Jakarta. It features various pavilions and museums that showcase Indonesia’s diverse heritage and history.
If you prefer to visit Old Town, you can customize the itinerary by skipping one of the scheduled visits. This flexibility allows you to tailor the tour to your interests.
