Description
Your local guide Fajar, with experience since 2017, will meet you at a café or Capsule Hotel lobby in Cikini, Central Jakarta. Transport cards are provided to use Jakarta’s public transit without purchasing separate tickets.
The tour begins with a visit to Jakarta Old Town Square in West Jakarta, where you will learn about Dutch colonial architecture and the area’s history. From there, you will walk to Sunda Kelapa Harbor for a 20 to 30-minute boat tour, which costs IDR 100,000 per boat (maximum 5 people).
Next, visit Glodok Chinatown on foot, exploring the traditional market and Vihara Dharma Bhakti Buddhist temple. You can try local snacks or opt to have lunch in this area.
The tour continues to Istiqlal Mosque, where a mosque guide provides a special outfit and a 30-minute history tour inside. Optionally, you can visit the nearby Cathedral Church.
The final stop is the National Monument (Monas). Entry costs IDR 8,000 per person and includes access to a diorama historical museum. Note that on Fridays, Istiqlal Mosque is closed for visitors; on Mondays, Monas and museums are closed. The visit order may change accordingly.
Lunch stops are available in Chinatown or Old Town areas.
