Description
The Thousand Islands Administrative Regency is a district of Jakarta encompassing a chain of islands in Jakarta Bay. Popular destinations include Pari, Pelangi, Putri, and Macan islands, reachable by speedboat from Marina Ancol.
Pulang Pari is a populated island 75 minutes by speedboat from Marina Ancol. It offers snorkeling with diverse marine life such as clownfish, rabbitfish, yellowtail, butterfly fish, angelfish, and occasionally turtles. A local guide accompanies you throughout the day using a wooden boat. Lunch is provided as a lunch box.
Pulau Pelangi Resort covers 12 hectares about two hours from Marina Ancol, depending on sea conditions. This unguided visit allows you to enjoy the island independently. Food is served at the resort’s restaurant. On weekends, guests may need to transfer to Pari Island if minimum numbers are not met.
Pulau Putri Resort spans over 8 hectares and offers marine activities like a giant aquarium, glass-bottom boat tours, snorkeling, scuba diving, and a swimming pool. It is family-friendly and includes a convention room. The island is reachable by a two-hour speedboat ride and meals are provided at the resort restaurant.
Macan Island consists of Macan Besar (large) with an eco-resort and facilities, and Macan Kecil (small or Bald Macan) visible at low tide, accessible on foot from Macan Besar. Booking Macan Island requires prior confirmation; otherwise, alternative islands such as Pari will be provided.
