Description
Taman Safari Indonesia operates on a conservation site managed by the Ministry of Forestry. Situated in the mountainous Bogor area, the park offers cool weather and scenic landscapes. The tour begins early in the morning (7:00 AM or 7:30 AM) with a drive from Jakarta to Bogor. Before arriving, participants purchase fruits such as carrots and bananas for feeding the animals.
The main safari journey lasts about one hour, driving through animal habitats where visitors can feed the animals from the vehicle. After the safari, the tour continues with visits to various park attractions including the Baby Zoo, Reptile World, Komodo exhibit, Primate World, Penguin area, and Panda Palace. Animal shows provide additional entertainment.
Following the safari, guests walk approximately 500 meters to Jaksa Waterfall, which is 45 meters tall with a shallow pool suitable for wading. The waterfall's water comes from the foot of Mount Gede Pangrango. Along the path, visitors may see native wildlife. Local legend states that washing your face with the waterfall’s water brings good fortune in love, prosperity, and youthfulness.
