Description
This tour departs early from Jakarta City, with hotel pickup at 4:30 am and transfer to Carita Beach by private car at 5:00 am. From Carita, board a fast double-engine speedboat for a 1.5-hour cruise across the Sunda Strait between Java and Sumatra to Krakatau Volcano.
Breakfast is served on the boat as you sail, with chances to spot flying fish and other marine life. Upon arrival, you will secure entry permits before hiking for approximately one hour to the summit of Anak Krakatau (Child of Krakatau) to explore and take in volcanic views.
After the hike, return to the boat for a circumnavigation of Anak Krakatau with photo opportunities, then continue to Rakata Island for snorkeling among coral reefs and diverse fish species.
Lunch is served on the beach of Rakata Island. In the afternoon, the boat returns to Carita Beach and you will be driven back to Jakarta City. The tour is guided by knowledgeable local guides and rangers, offering insight into the site of the 1883 eruption.
