Begin your journey in Jakarta, Indonesia’s vibrant capital city and the starting point of this 14-day overland adventure across Java and Bali. Meet your guide and fellow travelers before exploring Jakarta’s historic district of Kota Tua (Old Town) and the traditional Sunda Kelapa Harbor, where centuries-old wooden Phinisi ships still operate today. From Jakarta, travel to the scenic highlands of West Java. Visit lush tea plantations, hidden waterfalls, and relaxing natural hot springs near Subang before continuing to Bandung, a city known for its colonial architecture and creative culture. Explore Braga Street, Alun-Alun Bandung, and experience a traditional Angklung bamboo music performance at Saung Angklung Udjo, recognized by UNESCO as an important cultural heritage. Continue your journey with a scenic train ride across the beautiful landscapes of Java to Yogyakarta, the cultural heart of Indonesia. Experience traditional village life before visiting two of Southeast Asia’s most remarkable temple complexes: Prambanan Temple, the largest Hindu temple complex in Indonesia, and Borobudur Temple, the world’s largest Buddhist monument and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The adventure continues east toward Malang where you’ll visit the colorful Jodipan Village before heading to Mount Bromo, one of Indonesia’s most spectacular volcanoes. Travel by 4WD jeep across the famous Sea of Sand to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Tengger caldera, followed by a short hike to the crater rim for unforgettable panoramic views. After exploring Java, fly to Bali and stay in the cultural town of Ubud, surrounded by rice terraces, temples, and lush tropical scenery. Enjoy free time to explore local markets, cafés, and optional cultural or wellness experiences. The journey concludes with a visit to the stunning island of Nusa Penida.
