Start your cultural journey at the Museum Nasional Indonesia, also called the 'Elephant Museum.' It's the perfect place to learn about the long history of Indonesia's civilizations. Next, visit Glodok, Jakarta's historic Chinatown. The mix of cultures and businesses makes it one of Jakarta's most lively neighborhoods. Then, go to the Kota Intan Drawbridge, the last surviving Dutch-era drawbridge in Jakarta. It was built in the 17th century and was used to connect fortified warehouses along the Ciliwung River. If you stand here, you can learn about how important this city was during the colonial trading era. Finally, visit the Museum Fatahillah, which is located in the old Batavia city hall.
